I took a picture of a peaceful morning here and while it's not my desk or even a good indication of the office I just described, I really like it. Hope you do, too.

On average, I’m in work about an hour before everyone else arrives. I have a good arrangement with my boss where I come in a bit earlier to avoid a lot of the horrible rush hour traffic and on certain days I get to leave a bit earlier. That first hour of my day is when I’m most productive. I organize the rest of my tasks for the day, surveying roughly how long each will take. There aren’t any phones ringing and I don’t play any music, I just enjoy the silence. Sometimes I’ll stop and take a moment to reflect on where I am.

I’m fortunate enough to be surrounded by people who care not only about the quality of work we do, but how the environment we work in affects our creativity. We have tons of windows for bright, natural light, some unique colors and artwork on the walls, and a lot of wide open space to help avoid that feeling of claustrophobia. I took a picture of a peaceful morning here and while it’s not my desk or even a good indication of the office I just described, I really like it. Hope you do, too.
